aftercare

what to do
1. Leave the Recovery Dermshield bandage on for 2 days. You can shower with the bandage on, but do not submerge it. It will NOT protect you from pools, oceans, etc.
To remove the bandage, hold the tattoo under clean lukewarm, running, soapy water. Pull the corner of the bandage away from the tattoo.
2. Once the bandage is removed, clean the tattoo with clean lukewarm water and a small amount of antibacterial soap. Gently pat it dry with a clean dry paper towel, then apply a very thin layer of an unscented water-based lotion, After that, only apply lotion when the tattoo feels dry and itchy, and only a small amount.3. Once your tattoo is fully healed, keep it moisturized to keep it looking good! Sun can fade tattoos over time, so always use a little extra sunscreen on your tattoos. If you require a touch up, please contact me to set it up! The first touch up, with in the first year, is free.what to expect
“Ink sacs” are normal and expected. It is plasma and ink mixed together, it most commonly appears red, brown, or black. It can make your tattoo look odd under the bandage, however it is fine! Continue to leave it on for the suggested period of time, unless:
- the bandage peels up and exposes the tattoo
- the bandage leaks
- your skin becomes red and irritated due to the bandage
In these circumstances you may remove the bandage and move on to step 2.During the healing stage, your tattoo may become itchy, scaley, scabby, or peely. Do not scratch or pick at it. Apply a thin layer of lotion to help ease the itchiness, let the scabs and skin fall off naturally.Treat your tattoo as an open wound. Keep it clean! But do not over saturate it, avoid over washing it and soaking it in lotion. Too dry is better than too wet. No pools, oceans, lakes, etc. No direct sunlight, the skin is sensitive. Don’t let your pets rub or lick the tattoo. Do not smother the tattoo; do not use Aquaphor or other petroleum-based lotions.what to use
Soap: antibacterial, unscented liquid hand soap; such as Softsoap or Dial Liquid Gold.
Lotion: unscented lotion, preferably water based; such as Aveeno, Lubriderm, or Hustlebutter.

Full portfolio is available on my instagram, along with available flash pieces.I’m looking to book more color pieces, in the style of neotraditional, or in a painterly style. I also love to book black and grey/ blackwork illustrative designs!

My name is Kait Tornatore. I’ve been a tattoo artist for 3 years, and i’ve been an artist for as long as i can remember. I’ve always enjoyed drawing pencil portraits of my favorite characters and singers, and it’s still a relaxing pastime for me. I love video games, fantasy, d&d, my chemical romance, and other pop girlies <3My favorite thing to tattoo is little creatures and plants.Friends would describe me as “girlfailure,” “human shitpost,” “hot and funny”, and “sleepiest soldier.”
